Workshop A: 
Weave a basket with Aboriginal Weaver with Tegan Murdock

In this workshop participants will learn the basics of making your own basket using techniques that have been passed down through generations. You will walk away with a small weaved basket as well as the weaving skills that you can share with students in the classroom. We ask that when sharing your skills you acknowledge Ngumpie weaving.

Workshop B: 
Mastering Sous Vide with Julie Armstrong

Explore the world of sous vide, hearing about ways to use this technique in your classroom. Lots of recipe ideas and links to curriculum, before giving the technique a go yourself. You will then experience some flavours and textures created through the use of sous vide before taking home your prepared recipe.

Participants to bring containers to take product home in.

Workshop C:
Lasercut Wearable Electronics - Party Mask with Scott Lipsham

In this workshop participants will learn about preparing a file for the laser cutter such as designing and using a vector file and and the importance of line drawing to trace and use an image in the laser cutter. They will then use some precut materials to design and produce a party mask. In this section of the workshop participants will learn about a simple circuit, wearable electronics in Textiles, and how to insert flashing LED's, use conductive thread, and how to incorporate the power supply and switch into their item.

Participants will receive a premade kit which includes electronic components and felt.

Workshop D:
Prepare and Serve Better Espresso Coffee - "Love a Latte" with Jonathon (JJ) Wallace 

JJ has partnered with Hennessy Coffee to provide you with a hands-on workshop to best hone your espresso skills. Whether you are new to Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee or are experienced and are looking for further refinement, this is a must-do workshop for you!
Learn how to: • Stretch and texture perfect everytime
• To clean your machine and grinder
• How to make a good shot
• Master your grinder
• Latte art
• Innovations in cafe offerings and nabs
• Assessing competency and providing feedback to students .

Workshop E:
Sew like a Pro - Advanced Textile Construction Techniques with Sharyn Merrin

During this workshop, teachers will learn about, experiment with and complete a sample for the following techniques. Worksheets for each technique will also be provided.

Workshop F:
Digital Cookie Cutter and Stamp with Laura VonHoldt

Participants will learn to design and create their own custom cookie cutter using CAD programs including CookieCad and Sketchup Pro. Participants will gain knowledge of importing STL files into the slicer software MakerBot and learn about different food grade filaments for printing. Participants will be shown how to test the cutter and stamp for use in the kitchen.

Workshop G:
A Stitch in Tile with Natalie Fisher 

In this workshop, participants will be guided through my unique process of creatively reinterpreting decorative Islamic tiles into a needlepoint artwork. Tasks will include selecting a design, choosing the right needlepoint canvas, transferring the design onto the canvas, selecting thread and stitching the needlepoint. Participants will be taught how to blend colours to create realistic interpretations of ceramic tiles in needlepoint. Each participant will commence work on their own unique design, taking their piece home for completion in their own time. No prior needlepoint experience is necessary. All materials will be supplied.

Workshop H:
The Food Moulding Project - Breaking Down Silos with Lissa Carter and Era Camilet

Do you have a passion for both food AND design? If yes, then this workshop is for you! This workshop will appeal to Food Technology and Design and Technology teachers wanting to explore project ideas that help students unlock their innate creativity and develop design thinking skills. The Food Moulding Project project breaks down silos between Technologies disciplines. It explores how food, resistant materials, rapid prototyping, and CAD technologies can be combined in an exciting and challenging design project. In this hands-on session, we walk you through the processes required to design and manufacture an original moulded food solution that responds to a real-world problem. You will use a vacuum former to manufacture a food mould and use it to create a delicious chocolate product that you can take home.
