Rural Grants

EBE NSW will be offering four professional learning grants for teachers in rural NSW, for the 2023 EBE NSW Annual Conference. The successful applicant will receive complimentary entry to the conference, and can claim up to $750 travel and accommodation expenses. 

The grant will be open to people who are:

  • Secondary school teachers, and

  • Teaching Commerce, or Business Studies, or Economics, or Legal Studies this year, and

  • Currently employed in a NSW government or non-government school, and

  • Teaching in a school that is located a distance greater than 200 km from the venue (calculated by Google Maps), and

  • Current financial members (Concessional; Individual; Business/Corporate; or School/Library) of EBE NSW


How to apply

Interested applicants are to email EBE NSW (admin@ebe.nsw.edu.au) the following information:

  • Declare they meet the criteria addressed above, and

  • A 400 word statement describing the expected benefits to be gained by attending the conference and networking with other teachers, and how those learnings will be shared with teachers from your school and region. 

Feedback will not be provided to unsuccessful applicants of the grant. 


Conditions:

The successful applicant:

  1. Will have complimentary conference fees for the 2023 EBE NSW Annual Conference,  

  2. Will organise for the school to submit an invoice after the conference for the value up to $750 for travel and accommodation - receipts will need to be provided,

  3. Understands the invoice for expenses will be paid by EBE after the conference, and

  4. Will have their name and school publicised by EBE.
