The Society & Culture Association of NSW is excited to present "Hooked on Society and Culture" on Friday 21 February 2020 at the Metcalfe Theatre, State Library of NSW.
Sessions
Suitable for beginning, experienced and teachers new to Society and Culture. The day will target aspects of the Preliminary course. Sessions include
- Strategies to increase engagement
- Developing student understanding and application of key concepts
- Building student capacity in creative and critical writing
- Using simulation games to enhance student understanding
- Forum and networking session
- Effective use of research methods within the Preliminary course
- Building a continuum of assessment practice across the Society and Culture course
Society and Culture Association Inc through the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW- is endorsed to provide the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at Proficient, Highly Accomplished, and Lead levels.
Completing the HOOKED ON SOCIETY AND CULTURE, on 21 February 2020 will contribute 5 hours 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.1.2;3.3.2;6.2.2;7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
