2021 EBE NSW Annual Conference Rural Professional Learning Grants

EBE NSW are offering two professional learning grants for two teachers in rural NSW for the 2021 EBE NSW Annual Conference. The successful applicants will each receive complimentary entry to the conference, and can each claim up to $750 for travel and accommodation expenses. 

The grant is open to people who are:

  • Secondary school teachers
  • Teaching Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and/or Commerce in 2021
  • Currently employed in a NSW government or non-government school
  • Teaching in a school that is located a distance greater than 200 km from the venue (calculated by Google Maps)
  • Current financial members of EBE NSW

Criteria
The applications will be judged on the following set of criteria:
  • The content in the applicant's statement describing the expected benefits and learnings to be gained by attending the conference and networking with other teachers, and how those learnings will be shared with teachers from your school and region
  • Willingness to write an article on the conference for "The EBE Journal - Journal of the Economics and Business Educators NSW ". Minimum length: 2 A4 pages (text). Photos are required as well, in addition to the text.


Conditions

Each successful applicant will:

  • receive complimentary conference fees for the 2019 EBE NSW Annual Conference
  • send receipts related to travel and accommodation for the conference to the EBE NSW Office (up to $750 can be claimed through the grant)
  • have their name and school publicised by EBE NSW
  • write an article based on the conference for "The EBE Journal - Journal of the Economics and Business Educators NSW". Minimum length: 2 A4 pages (text). Photos are required as well, in addition to the text.
How to apply
Applicants for the grant will need to email EBE NSW a statement of approximately 600 words describing the expected benefits and learnings to be gained by attending the conference and networking with other teachers, and how those learnings will be shared with teachers from your school and region.
Applicants should also indicate their willingness to write a comprehensive report about the conference for "The EBE Journal - Journal of the Economics and Business Educators NSW". Minimum length 2 A4 pages (text). Photos are required as well, in addition to the text.

Applications are to be submitted through the online form by July 12 2021.

Membership Status

The rural professional learning grants are available only to teachers from member schools and individual EBE NSW members.
