Understanding Democracy in Australia: Roleplay to debate a Bill in Parliament

In this workshop we will deliver a course project, presenting a Bill for debate in Parliament.

Students develop:

  • a persuasive text—written and spoken
  • pronunciation skills for public speaking
  • students AV record their practice taking the roles of members of parliament.

The session satisfies TAFE standards for teachers to maintain professional currency requirements and NESA standards at proficient teacher level.

 

The workshop will use AV recordings from the classroom. Workshop participants will receive a free    workbook with audio.
