Economics and Business Educators NSW
2021 EBE NSW Annual Conference Countdown Clock
Our Conference theme this year is:
Shifting Ideas: Negotiating the Future for Economics, Business and Law Educators
FRIDAY 23 JULY 2021
Welcome from the President
Economics and Business Educators NSW invites you to the 2021 EBE NSW Annual Conference, which will be held at the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building, at the University of Technology Sydney.
For many years now, this annual event has been the premier conference for teachers of Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and Commerce in NSW and from Australian International Schools overseas. The conference provides a unique opportunity for teachers in our subject areas to gather as a community to strengthen professional knowledge, skills and practice.
Our theme this year is "Shifting Ideas: Negotiating the Future for Economics, Business and Law Educators". Our keynote speakers are Australian economist Phillip Lowe who is the current Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia and Australian entrepreneur Rami Ykmour who is the owner of the restaurant chain Rashays, a food and hospitality business concerned with being part of the community. The conference program for 2021 provides a variety of workshop opportunities on areas including reviews of the 2020 NESA HSC Economics, Business Studies and Legal Studies examinations, content areas for Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and Commerce. effective teaching and learning strategies for Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and Commerce, and a two part workshop on leadership.
The conference will provide teachers with valuable networking opportunities with other teachers beyond their own school. There will also be a range of exhibitors at the conference providing delegates with an opportunity to obtain information about the latest teaching and learning resources available for Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and Commerce.
EBE NSW is offering two professional learning grants for rural EBE NSW members and I encourage our rural members to apply for these grants.
The 2021 EBE NSW Annual Conference will provide a diverse range of professional learning opportunities for all participants. I look forward to welcoming you to our conference in Sydney on 23 July 2021.
